driven by this thread:
http://forum.lowpolyworkshop.com/topic/9635949/1/#new

i started my own model on it, heres todays progress so far. its alot higher polycount than what i would usually do, but the sillouette kinda requires it so, not much choice

EDIT
added hair, decided to go with leaf layering rather than a mesh, her hair is messy anyway, not neat enough for a continous mesh

Impressive edgeflow. I'm amazed how you can get away with that polycount adns till get all your forms in. Lol, al my models seem to get about 700 tri's by the time we're done with the body.

im not very sure how i get my forms too, just kinda tweak till it looks right to me

although i guess its about what ur willing to lose more so than what you think you need, its almost a discipline of thinking in terms of necessities

for example, since im making the model assuming its for a game, some details can be culled since they may never be noticed, like the feet do not need to be as defined since most viewpoints are looking downward at the character or if its FPS, not at all

actually, i think anything that does not contribute form to the overall silouette fo the character can be culled

Do my eyes deceive me? or is the skirt built into the legs.
I've never though of that, that's extremely nifty and creative/

i integrated the skirt into the legs since the skirt is rather tight fitting and will conform to the legs in real interaction, so its acceptable for part fo the skirt to be to be part of the legs

to show what was truly done with the skirt and legs
